Hi, Czesc, Hallo, Salut(Bonjour), Ciào, Hola

A part of me still can’t believe I am finally doing this; starting my very own blog. After what feels like an incredibly long time of thinking and doubting myself I made a decision to do this. It feels like a waste not to be sharing (that is if anyone ever reads this…don’t worry I won’t blame you if you stop midway, I’m grateful you even got here!) and using the fact I’ve just purchased the camera of my dreams I will be able to share even more with you!

I’ve always had a keen interest in both writing and taking photographs. Always looking for a new way to express myself, but failing to find something truly suitable for me; I’m hoping this will be it. I must admit, the fear of actually doing IT always scared me away, I don’t feel confident about my work so showcasing it to you is quite scary.

I havelarge never had a proper blog so please be kind…I’m just a beginner but I will try my best to keep you entertained and not bore you to sleep…hopefully! As I said this is a platform for me to post stuff about my travels, my experiences and my interests. I’ve got many plans and ideas for this blog, but I will take baby steps to avoid your and my disappointment. My idea and goal is to share my impressions and experiences with some of the places I visit or have already visited, but…not only. I thought it would be a good idea to have a profile on a photographer or artist I like from time to time. This way I will have more motivation to do research and learn so we all win. If anyone has any questions or suggestions please do get in contact! It would be great to hear from any of you so please feel free to drop me a message.
So… I feel very humble and glad as this year has been kind to me in the form of giving me opportunities to travel (as my friends are painfully aware of). Each time I get the chance to travel it is a dream come true to head off to the unknown. I love to explore and discover; there is no greater pleasure for me than wandering through streets in a city I don’t know; to learn its secrets, step by step. Seeing the architecture and people, breathing in the unfamiliar smells of food I’ve never tried before and the anticipation of the adventure which is about to unfold. Going to a place I don’t know gives me freedom that day to day routines limit. The thrill that comes with booking plane tickets beats everything I have experienced so far (as you can tell by now I suffer from serious wanderlust), then there is landing and finally entering a big, new world which holds no limits.

DSC_5432To start us off I would like to tell you a little about myself so that we can get to know each other. I’m nineteen and studying Media, I moved from Poland to Scotland when I was about twelve years old and since then I cannot settle in one place for long. I’ve had this travel bug for a while now, trust me. It frustrates a lot of people which I totally understand, but…how can one resist?
In the last year and a half I’ve visited Tuscany, Berlin, London, Dublin and I’m going to Paris in few days. I’ve been travelling back and forth between Poland and Scotland more than ever thanks to my lovely boyfriend and family over there. It feels like this year I had a chance to see more of Poland. Discovering places and cities in my homeland was an incredible opportunity and I wouldn’t change it for anything. I find that often you don’t have to go far to find something beautiful, an adventure can be lying right at your doorstep and under your nose.
You’re probably thinking that my list isn’t particularly long or interesting, but do not fear. I’m hopeful that next year will be filled with even more new adventures which I will be able to share with you!
Please stay tuned and visit this space from time to time!
